School Mission Statement
Temple Emanu-El Religious School strives to expand its student’s Judaic and Hebrew knowledge in an atmosphere conducive to positive Jewish self-identification. The school will inspire Jewish students to be:
- Committed to Jewish values and the love of Torah and God.
- Able to read prayer book Hebrew and have basic understanding of prayers.
- Well informed about the land of Israel and Jewish history.
- Connected with the Jewish community throughout the world
We believe that the religious school years serve as a foundation for future Jewish involvement and positive Jewish identity.
We feel strongly that students need to be engaged and challenged on their own level.
We work closely together in a partnership with the students’ parents and families to meet the needs of each child.
Our curriculum and programs are designed to support a loving, nurturing and cohesive school community.
Temple Emanu-El's Religious School meets during the school year on Sunday mornings and, for students in fifth grade through Confirmation, on Wednesday evenings. Jewish holidays and select national holidays are observed. Click HERE for the 2016-2017 Religious School Calendar.
